The Mercedes Benz Transportation Management System was indirectly affected by the Amazon AWS outage yesterday. We utilize PC Miler, a high regarded truck routing and mileage software company, to provide distances when calculating rates. PC Miler’s services are greatly dependent upon AWS. During the outage, some functionality on the site was lost because we were unable to accurately calculate rates through PC Miler. If you had any issues getting a rate or placing an order yesterday, I want to apologize and rest assured we are actively developing connectivity with alternate truck routing and mileage providers in the event of another AWS issue in the future. I believe I have reached out to the four users indirectly affected during the order process.
